Clubbing brands Wax:On and Metropolis are joining forces to launch a new business: A company fully dedicated to keep the UK club scene vibrant, forward thinking and exciting...
Electronic Music Group Ltd., as the new company is entitled, will be throwing parties as well as releasing music and artist management. First things first: loads of events are scheduled to take place soon, kicking off as early as September 25th. Their first mutual bash will take place at Leeds University and will feature Calvin Harris, Andy C, Fake Blood, Benga, and Joy Orbison amongst others on deck duty.

The new kid on the block will furthermore schedule, book and promote Annie Mac Presents, Reclaim the Dancefloor Ibiza & UK, Hospitality Leeds, Cocoon Newcastle, Musicology Leed and Jagerbomb alongside new events under their own Wax:On and Metropolis brands. Blackledge states “by joining forces we can expand on the large scale events making them bigger and better, whilst also really focusing more on the intimate ones like Wax:On every Friday at Mint Club and Musicology every Friday at the Faversham.”

Besides their club nights, Wax:On and Metropolis also merge their music and artist management departments. Electronic Music Ltd. will include label brands Wax:On Music, Magicbag Music and Metropolis, now boasting titles from Doorly, Matt Walsh, Eskimo Twins, Ado and Youandewan.
