Shlomi Aber's Chicago Days & Detroit Nights

imageNews -

Israeli techno producer and DJ Shlomi Aber will release his second album Chicago Days, Detroit Nights on Josh Wink's Ovum imprint this September 20th. On the LP, Shlomi pays homage to the early Detroit & Chicago sound... doesn't sound too original, you say?

Although he may not be the first to combine oldschool rhythms to today's house music sound, the album by no menas has become a lame longplayer. Chicago Days, Detroit Nights is Shlomi's second full-length album following 2007's State of No One. The album features mostly unreleased tracks and sees Schlomi paying homage to his musical ancestors as he gently blends oldschool house and techno elements to his trademarked minimal melodics. His cooperation with Detroit legend Kenny Larkin, released last year on Aber's own label Be As One, is featured as well.

Shlomi Aber's Chicago Days, Detroit Nights will be released September 20th on Ovum Records. Don't forget to check back this Sunday for a full review of the album!
