Radio Slave Goes Strictly Rhythm

News - Classic NY house label Strictly Rhythm granted the honour of mixing their Strictly Rhythm Vol. 5 to Matt Edwards who we all know as the manic Radio Slave. The two- disc compilation will be released October 1st and judging by its tracklist it's gonna be a fat catch.
We're pretty sure Matt didn't need long to decide whether he would be willing to mix the next episode in the Strictly Rhythm series. Even though his own productions are more modern, hybrid forms of house and techno, his DJ sets are often influenced by those chunky house bangers from way back in the day. Strictly Rhythm of course is one of the trademarked labels in that genre; "I have loved Strictly material for years, their tracks are pivotal, some of them make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!" says Matt. "The records I chose for this mix are the ones I'd still play when I'm out."
Strictly Rhythms Vol. 5 includes two discs, each with a different vibe to it. The first Downtown Mix is a low tempo, early morning affair with tracks by Ultra Nate, The Warmdue Project, Mood II Swing and DJ Sneak. The second disc is more aimed at fancy footwork and serves up tunage by Kenny Dope, Black Magic and The Untouchables. Overall the compilations consists out of 23 tracks of which no less than 18 have been edited by Radio Slave to suit his needs and sound. Strictly Rhythm Vol. 5 mixed by Radio Slave will hit the stores October 1st. Ace.
