Midipad Turns iPad Into Handheld Studio

We've been writing about the possibilities before, but it now looks like we're going to see the first iPad-produced beats and live jams soon. How? Using an app called Midipad, a snazzy little multitouch controller with more features than you would expect...

Midipad can be synced to your Apple Mac, Windows-based PC and even standalone hardware synths via WiFi, making the tool perfectly suitable for wireless use. Supported sequencers include the most-used in todays studios such as Apple Logic, Steinberg Cubase/Nuendo, and Ableton Live. More info has not yet been made available, but here's a cool video explaining how everything works.

Seems to us it's only a matter of months before we can throw away our vintage hardware equipment and replace them with an iPad. Just kidding.
