Mijk Van Dijk Announces Re-releasesWritten by the B&B Crew Tuesday, 10 August 2010 17:42 News - Microglobe’s –aka the seasoned Mijk van Dijk- Afreuropamericasiaustralica will be rereleased in a new remastered version later this month on the Environ-Mental imprint. It’s been 16 years since its debut release and this re-release is a testament to how much has changed since.  The Afreuropamericasiaustralica album marked Mijk van Dijk’s debut as Microglobe. The original tracks were produced using hardware controlled via an Atari and then edited by hand in his home studio. In terms of concepts, the album still is very relevant as the main theme focuses on the planet’s affected environment. The thought behind it back then was not to rely on older generations to preserve our planet, but to take matters in to our own hands and act. Its content on the other hand sounds outdated but there's nothing wrong with some quality oldschool German rave music is there? The re-release of Afreuropamericasiaustralica will be the first release on Mijk van Dijk’s own label; Environ-Mental. The imprint is founded to release new material by Mijk, plus re-mastered version of earlier material. A great debut we think. Tracklist
