It was really just a matter of time before it would happen, and not it's official: Maya Jane Coles has mixed the next episode in the DJ-KiCKS compilation series, which is slated for an April release.

To the 24-year old London DJ/producer, 2011 has been a year most artists can only dream of. Dubbed as one of the most promising artists of her generation, MJ is responsible for a slew of white hot house tracks on Mobilee, 20:20 Vision and Hypercolour amongst others. Her addition to the mighty DJ-KiCKS range -her first ever commercial mix- will however be a bit more diverse. "I don't just do one thing and I wanted [the mix] to reflect that," she says. "Most of the mixes I've put out there so far have been house based, but I also produce stuff under the Nocturnal Sunshine moniker, which is more two-step/bass influenced stuff. This mix evolved into something that wasn't just four-to-the-floor." Keep your eyes peeled for this one.
