Margaret Dygas To Release Debut Album How Do You Do

Berghain/Panorama bar resident Margaret Dygas is about to release her debut LP entitled How Do You Do. It will be released October 25th on the PowerShovelAudio imprint and the story behind this one is, in true minimal fashion, highly conceptual.

Marge released her debut EP on Contexterior back in 2007 and more recently released tracks on Standard Productions and Perlon. Her debut LP is said to be inspired by the book 'Peoplewatching, A Guide To Bodylanguage by British zoologist Desmond Morris. She got the book from a friend in London when she left for Berlin and it served as a companion during her first years in Berlin up to now. Clever.

Each track on the album is based on different emotions, each relating to a chapter or idea from the book, with the result being a complete 'story'. Now the cool part is that each track comes with a quote that illuminates the relation between the music and book. The album furthermore includes a 36 page booklet of Margaret’s photos she took during the recording process of the album. Go for the CD instead of the MP3, we say.
