Marc Houle will release his third album entitled Drift later this year on fellow Canadian Richie Hawtin’s label Minus. Drift includes 8 new tracks and will be released September 27th.
Houle apparently like to keep things easy for himself as he has been releasing all of his track on the Minus imprint ever since his first appeared back in 2004. His new album has been produced over last winter and follows his 2006 Bay of Figs. According to Houle, the LP presents his current musical taste and view on techno, or a reflection of “frustrations with what is considered 'techno’. Well, that's pretty much what we heard tons of other techno DJs (Adam Beyer, Monika Kruse, Carl Cox, etc.) say around 2003 and results have been er... mixed, ever since. Anyway, fact is that Houle knows his game so we're curious to hear what that chilly Berlin winter did to the man.
