Malcolm McLaren Dies Aged 64

Malcolm McLaren has died aged 64. The former manager of notorious UK punk band The Sex Pistols died from cancer in New York on Thursday April 8th.


Malcolm McLaren (1946) was best known as the manager of UK's most notorious punk band the Sex Pistols from 1975 to 1977. Prior to managing the band, Malcolm and his partner Vivienne Westwood ran a shop named Let It Rock, where the duo sold provocing clothing that would little later become punk's trademarked fashion.

After the demise of the Sex Pistols, McLaren got involved with a series of other projects in the 80s, most notably Adam And The Ants. McLaren died in New York from cancer.
