London Disco DJs Dig Deep For Japan

London’s house & techno community has already come together for Japan, so now the disco crew follow suit with this event at the Corsica Studios on Saturday 16th April. Expect DJs from Horse Meat Disco, Bad Passion and the mighty Idjut Boys too.

This party sees the great and good of London’s disco scene getting on with supporting Japan, specifically The Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund; which will direct support straight to the right areas of the region and use their local knowledge to help organisations like the International Medical Corps and Save The Children in their relief efforts.

It’s great to see London’s beloved Horse Meat Disco boys (namely Jim Hillard, Jim Stanton, Luke Howard and Severino) leading the charge here – and playing for free, like all the other DJs on the bill; the Corsica is also allowing their space to be used free so all money made goes straight to Japan. HMD shares the bill in Room 1 with Bad Passion Project DJs Chris Stoker, Andy Bainbridge & Dan Mitchell, who step away from their monthly East London parties to keep it spaced out in South London for one night only.

Then over in Room 2, contemporary disco originators the Idjut Boys take centre stage, with the wonderful ‘Foolish’ Felix Dickinson helping out alongside Gerry Rooney (from Harvey’s infamous Black Cock Edits) and Nick The Record, the wonderfully-monickered Brighton record dealer and DJ too. Definitely worth the £7 donation... but give more if you can.
