Lick My Deck with Daze Maxim, Thomas Melchior and Ion Ludwig

After the sudden demise of T Bar, Lick My Deck has gone sky-high in search of a new home. So headlining London's high-rise venue Paramount Saturday 24^th July is Daze Maxim, alongside Thomas Melchior, Ion Ludwig and LMD founder Shaun Soomro.

Just when we’d had it with European house & techno and were about to settle for a life of obscure disco re-edits, along comes Lick My Deck with another original line-up. Complete with soul, bass and a much-needed bit of funk, this is the place to party if you’ve found the old 4/4 a bit stale lately.

‘Actually you can't categorise my music as a complete work,' Daze Maxim explains before making his UK debut for LMD.

‘In the mid-nineties I did this typical techno stuff, then went over to (the) Brighton sound and jazzy deep house in the late nineties. Followed by the minimal period and right now I’m somewhere in-between everything. Let's just say it's electronic club music.’

Plus Thomas Melchior will be showing off the skills that have him releasing an EP on LMD later in the year, while Ion Ludwig showcases live sounds from his new album. Brilliant.
