Leo Zero Gets Disconnected

Strut Records is ready to kick off a new series of compilations with Leo Zero helming the first edition. The Disconnect series will feature the rare secret weapons from the DJ on deck duty, giving us an insight in Leo Zero’s record box and hear those hidden gems.




Leo Zero aka Leo Elstob is active in the club scene for over 15 years now. As a DJ he was a resident at Shrink2Fit during the 90’s where he spinned Detroit Techno, drum&bass and rare groove together with legendary 4 Hero, Harvey and many others. But chances are you know Leo best for his legendary deep-house night entitled Soulsonic and as a key member of the Faith collective together with Patterson, Bill Brewster, Terry Farley and Dave Jarvis.

Elstob furthermore was a part of Chicane, together with Nick Bracegirldle with whom he scored a couple of massive Ibiza hits. He then went on to form Dab Hands, a coop with Mark Wikinson and Richard Searle, with which he did reworks for N*E*R*D, Lou Reed and others, and to top this all off he was a key member of A Mountain Of One with which he releases Collected Works in 2007, a now classic album.

Leo's Disconnect mix includes a wide array of genres varying from (Afro-) Disco, Ragga and Punk to tunes by Brian Eno and John Cale.Check out the impressive tracklist below.

The first episode of Disconnect, mixed compiled by Leo Zero, will be released November 22nd on Strut Records.
