Legendary Children Presents Hard Ton (LIVE and DJ Set)

Our new favourite intimate house monthly, Legendary Children, invite the deliciously extreme Hard Ton over for a LIVE show & DJ set.

We first featured the Legendary Children (aka Neil Best Edward, Prince Pac, Elles McFierce’em and Cassie Clarke) a few weeks back when Rocky from X-Press 2 bigged them up and we’ve been lucky enough to make it down to their Dalston lair to check out Hardrock Striker. But now they’re back on Friday 25th November with their monthly attempt to channel the era of forgotten Chicago sounds and amazing acid grooves onto Vogue Fabrics' Dalston dancefloor... this time with special guests Hard Ton, all the way from Venice.

The LC’s Elles McFierce’em tells us, ‘Hard Ton is our first proper live act. We’ve wanted to incorporate live performances for a while so it wasn't just DJ, DJ, DJ but wanted to make sure it was acts that reflected what we were about and that it would work with the music we play. We had Ed DMX down to Vogue's in July for a DJ set and he bought a 303, MPC and an 808 and jammed along while he was DJing, his impromptu performance proved that actually a lot in possible in a small space, without disrupting the flow of the night or compromising the music.’

But what can we expect from the heavyweight Hard Ton’s live show, Elles? ‘Oh, they’ll be playing some killer Italo-Acid belters and making sweat drip from the walls twice as much as usual, we hope! Mauro is the producer and tends to stay fairly in the background knob-twiddling and that, Max is the singer with the fabulous costumes – his make-up alone takes two hours, so that kind of gives you an idea of the effort that goes into the performance side of things!

'However, although Hard Ton are something of a spectacle to see live, their music stands out independently of the amazing floor show. They have released on Dissident, Gigolo and Permanent Vacation and those folk know their shit. Hard Ton have something special in the studio and on stage, and that's the kind of stuff that make a true great.’ Wise words indeed from the Ledges, so get down early as this one is set to be RAMMED.
