La Roux are about to release their first ever compilation, which is the second instalment in Renaissance's new Sidetracked series. Their mix has become a mash of personal favorites both old and new, including a cover of Rolling Stones' Under My Thumb and will be released on July 26th.
The compilation includes tracks from the likes of Heaven 17, Hally & Kongo Band, Doris Troy, and Fox The Fox amongst many other of which the latter wins big because of the band name alone. "Me and Ben enjoyed putting this mix together," says La Roux' Eleanor Jackson. "It's a really nice snapshot of both our musical influences. A lot of the tracks on here are songs we listened to while making our album set alongside some new stuff we're into..." Take it from us that this one might kick serious ass.
