Juju & Jordash To Do A Movie/Sound Expirement At Glorious Basterds

DJ and production outfit Juju & Jordash will do a live gig later this month at Amsterdam's Cavia cinema. Their gig is part of the Glorious Basterds film series, a project taking place every last Sunday of the month.

The Glorious Basterds project says it's aiming to "re-raise, in a funky attitude, the eternal question of Judaism, that is, what is the Jew?" They try to do this by showing films that just aren't your typical Sunday evening affair. The movies showed at the Cavia "verge on the bizarre" .

Juju & Jordash will be playing along to the movie Der Golem. As the title may reveals already, this movie is just as unique as the rest of the movies played there. Der Golem is a silent horror film from last century's roaring 20's. The move is about a rabbi who makes a clay golem and unleashes havoc upon the people until a little girl stops him by removing a amulet from his chest.

Juju & Jordash themselves explain their performance: "We will be improvising on some pre-composed political themes we are working on. The music will consist of industrial soundscapes, analog effects, synthesizer sequences, guitar feedbacks, processed electric-bass and psychedelic ambient."

Juju & Jorash are hoping the screening will be a success as they are planning to take their film/music performance on the road and offer this unique experience at festival the world over. Check out the teaser below to see what you may expect.
