Jem Haynes Gets Comfy In The Nest

New North London nightspot The Nest kicks off big time this Saturday 19th February, with We Love… Space’s man Jem Haynes, plus local lads Red Ben and Nick Warren in the house too.

Firmly a part of the move away from Shoreditch (which can be ‘an absolutely bloody nightmare at the weekend’, to quote an East London promoter who we’ll allow to remain anonymous) The Nest shows that there is still room for a 350-capacity club putting on solid line-ups and charging reasonable money for them – times might be tough, but it’s at times like these that clubbers party the hardest...

That’s certainly what will be on the cards tonight, with the help of Mr Jem Haynes. You probably know him from his days in Precision Cuts, the breaks outfit he formed in 2000 with Joe Gray and Tam Cooper. Well, those days are over as far as the band is concerned, but now Jem plays a breaks-driven house sound, which is what’s made him a  very popular Space resident at their infamous We Love… parties.

Plus there’s the chance to hear Nick Warren too, a newer face on the scene who’s been tearing up The Nest with mixes like this, which blends the likes of Insta:mental with deep house from Isolee and Delano Smith’s techno too.  And Potty Mouth Disco’s Red Ben joins in as well, to present the most forward-thinking and groove-laden sounds in modern house, techno and disco. What more could you want every Saturday night?
