James Taylor Leaves SwayzakWritten by the B&B Crew Sunday, 03 July 2011 13:23 News - Swayzak, aka James Taylor and David Brown have gone separate ways. According to a statement send out last friday, James Taylor has decided to leave Swayzak and will now focus on his role as an Ableton Live trainer and his solo project Lugano Fell.
Taylor and Brown founded Swayzak 14 years ago and produced dozens of EPs and released 10 albums. Taylor describes his time with Swayzak as “a fantastic time” and leaves with “nothing but good souvenirs.” Taylor says the split has been “entirely amicable” and a “natural progression”. Taylor will now focus more on his role as an Ableton Live trainer and continues his solo work as Lugano Fell. He will furthermore perform under his own name occasionally. James and David will do a series of final shows together and afterwards David Brown will continue the Swayzak trademark and their label 240 Volts.
