Italians Do It Better To Release New Compilation

DJ/producer duo Johnny Jewel and Mike Simonetti aka Italians Do It Better have mixed a new compilation entitled Albuterol. TAnd it has has come together in an... peculiar way.

The story behind the album, which can be read on the duo's website, is that the compilation was born out of a weekend the two spent together in Portland, Oregon. Simonetti had forgotten his asthma medication back in Jersey and after a gig at a Glass Candy party (and multiple after parties) his allergies were in pretty bad shape. From there on he spent several days sleeping at friends wit cats and that made his condition all the more unbearable.

The guys spend two days and nights in the studio going thru crates of tunes in Mike’s Library in Jersey. The two started with around 80 tracks but cut it down to 10 that were really complementing each other. These 10 tracks now make up the Albuterol album which has become a heavy pitched down affair. The album is named after the medication Simonetti had forgotten and in the end resulted in the album. The album was made available freely on the internet but after a stunning 20.000 downloads the label decided to release it officially.

Albuterol will be released September 20th on the new sub-label Perseo. Just the story behind it makes it worthwhile to check, but after checking out the track list you are going to want this one.
