iPhone 4 Unveiled (Or Is It?)Written by the B&B Crew Monday, 19 April 2010 19:27 NewsAs you probably know, we at Beatsandbeyond go crazy over cool gadgets so it won't come as a surprise we’re anxiously waiting for the next iPhone to be released. Today it seem to have made a first appearance… at some bar in Redwood City, US. Apple always keeps its new products strictly secret but as the story goes, they messed up with this one. Supposedly the iPhone 4 has been found lost in a bar in Redwood city. Yeah right....how about that for a marketing flick. Nevertheless, it seems to had quite an effect since hundreds of forums are currently being oozed with items on this little snazzer. Just so you know. Gadget portal Gizmodo has published an item definitely worth reading regarding the ‘4’, and they believe it to be the real McCoy. So do we and here is why: the quality of the device is just a bit too good to be fake or to be a mockup... and it actually works as well. But the most persuasive evidence comes from the inside. Gizmodo took the phone apart and noticed that multiple parts were clearly labeled with the Apple logo. Furthermore, upon plugging it in a computer, the device was recognized as being an iPhone. Still not convinced? John Gruber, a so called Apple-connected guy from Daring Fireball indicated Apple indeed lost an actual unit and is very interested in getting it back. Well, for what its worth, it seems to be the real deal. So what does it offer, we hear you say? Well,a lot... First of all there is a front facing camera which enables video chatting. The camera on the back of the phone has been improved and now incorporates a flash function. Finally we can take photos at those late night parties and shamefully look how terrible we looked the other day without other people having to tell us. The standard sim-card has been replaced with a micro-sim, just like the iPad’s, the display has been improved either though it's still unknown what the resolution is. The guys at Gizmodo claim that the Connect to iTunes screen displays a much higher resolution then the 3GS but details on that yet remain a mystery. A secondary mic is introduced for noise cancellation right next to the headphone jack and the volume button has been split in two. All buttons are now metallic too. But the most drastic change must be the design, as you can see on the photos. We are looking forward to the actual release of this new phone. We dig the design and even though you can hate all the attention Apple is getting for "just having come up with a new phone" you've got to admin they play it smart. They actually left us feeling like a little kid that just wants candy but can't reach it because it's on a table out of his reach... Photo and videos courtesy of Gizmodo. Respect is due.
