IMS 2011 -

The IMS returns to Ibiza for the fourth year in a row at the end of this month, bringing with it a whole host of industry leaders, record labels and guest speakers for what’s set to be the most exciting year yet for the world’s leading electronic music conference, set in the spiritual home of dance music.

But with so much attention on the daytime industry-focused schedule we now felt the time was right to showcase all the key events and amazing parties that will be taking place during the IMS week. More than ever before the IMS team have been peerlessly putting together a run of evening events to make sure the 2011 Ibiza summer season kicks off in style!

Anyone who’s experienced the previous IMS Grand Finale Festival’s at Dalt Vila will understand just how thrilling and unique this event is. Set in the heart of Ibiza’s Old Town and looking over the Balearic sea, this huge open-air evening festival will be made even bigger this year with the line-up including a headline set from the legendary 2manydjs, with further DJ sets from Dubfire, Pete Tong and Jason Bentley and live performances from Hercules & Love Affair and The Japanese Posters. It should be very special.

Also, for the first time ever the IMS will be hosting the Dalt Vila on the Thursday night as well, welcoming in arguably the biggest name in dance music today, the one and only David Guetta. The infamous French DJ will be joined by Nervo and friends to present an exclusive show for his many, many fans on the island. Their first party of the season will be held later the same evening at Pacha.

In fact Pacha will also play host to the official IMS Opening Party on the Wednesday night, as confirmed daytime guest speakers Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler will all take to the decks to present their own mutant breed of modern house music that has caught the attention of so many people across the globe. In addition, Mark Jones (Wall Of Sound) will host his past:present:future concept Back To The Phuture in the side room with himself performing but also Mute Records boss Daniel Miller. Miller will play uncompromising electronic music using all manner of new futuristic technologies.

Other highlights include a series of events at Grial; including label showcases from Riva Starr’s ‘Snatch!’ label and the ever-present Ministry Of Sound with a set from Michael Woods and there will also be an Ibiza residents special (GUIRI) on the Tuesday night. There’s an unofficial all-day Cadenza beach party with Luciano and friends on the Saturday at Ushuaia and if you’re a registered IMS delegate, you will be able to get free entry to the All Gone Pete Tong (Fri) and Cadenza (Sun) opening parties as well as the legendary Space Fiesta (Sun) opening – a must do experience for all dance music fans!

IMS, still setting the agenda for the future of the industry, but now leading the way on the dancefloor as well.
