News -
Details about this year's global music conferences are slowly emerging: Among the first is Ibiza's International Music Summit, taking place from May 25th till the 27th at the Ibiza Gran Hotel.
IMS returns to Ibiza for the fourth consecutive year, inviting all business professionals for an innovating and refreshing business (?) focused conference. One of the most interesting events at the IMS already is Richie Hawtin interviewing Daniel Miller from Mute Records. Miller is the man who is responsible for signing Depeche Mode, Moby and Hawtin himself and has been present at the IMS as long as it exists.
Founding father of IMS, Pete Tong states “We are very proud to announce the first stage of our conference line up for the 4th International Music Summit in Ibiza. Once again we are privileged to welcome an incredibly diverse array of brilliant guest speakers including the legendary founder of Mute Records Daniel Miller, Jho Oakley manager of Chase & Status and George Ergatoudis head of music at BBC Radio 1. I´m sure event will continue to make a major contribution to the debate on the future of electronic music entertainment around the world.”
Sounds very interesting and education to us, but for those fearing "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"... you're in Ibiza for Christ's sake!
