Hybrid To Release New Album Next Month

Hybrid are known as one of the most innovative and forward thinking acts in the electronica/breaks scene ever since their massive 1999 album Wide Angle. And on April 12th, they once again will break boundaries...

Hybrid are one of the few electronic acts who perform with a classic band setup. The latest addition to the team is singer/songwriter Charlotte James. She joined founder Chris Healings and Mikre Truman.

The album, entitled Disappear Here, will be released on Distinctive, April 12th. Even though the new album is further away from conventional dance music then ever, it still retains much of those specific thinks that make dance music exciting. “This album offers a lot more than anything we’ve managed to write in the past,” Healings says. “Charlotte comes from that singer/songwriter/performer world and she really inspired us to write something much more song based. Working so much with her we feel like there’s a feeling of going somewhere else or doing something that will last longer in a live capacity. The music definitely reflects our desire to be a band but firmly rooted in dance music.”
