Horse Meat Disco Turns 8 With Odyssey (LIVE!)Written by Manu Ekanayake Friday, 14 October 2011 19:46 NewsIt’s always a ball at Horse Meat Disco, especially when they get some disco godfathers in to supplement the always-rocking residents. This time they’ve got the band behind Native New Yorker, Odyssey, in the house… Every night at HMD feels like its birthday, but that’s not to say that they can’t pull something pretty special out of the bag come birthday time every year. This Sunday 16th October those masterful Horses have secured a truly legendary act, so we just had to ask HMD’s own Jim Stanton, just how does one get hold of Odyssey (who were behind classic New York disco hits like Use It Up And Wear It Out and Going Back To My Roots) and how will they bring their live show to HMD’s Vauxhall home, The Eagle? ‘We were very kindly introduced to Odyssey by the one and only Andy Williams (aka Yam Who?) who has produced their excellent new album. And they are singing a Live PA..,’ Jim told us. Should be something pretty special, just check out the band's biggest hit below…
