Hawtin Announces Massive Plastikman Box SetWritten by the B&B Crew Thursday, 23 September 2010 08:14 News - Richie Hawtin has announced a massive Plastikman box-set -Arkives- including 11 CDs, a DVD and an optional Reference package which is a 64 page book...massive! Arkives will be tracing back the history of Richie's Plastikman alter ego from his first release to his current activities. Amongst the 11 discs are all his 6 earlier albums, which have been fully remastered. On the other 5 discs you'll find Plastikman remixes, remixes of Plastikman tracks by others such as Francois K, Chris & Cosey and more, the complete Spastik session and a new Plastikman single entitled Slinky. DVD features come in the form of video footage from the 1995 Glastonbury and 2003 Mutek shows. If you go for the Reference version of the box-set you'll get a digicode to download even more material that didn't make it to the discs. There's also a 64-page book written by Philip Sherburne detailing the impact that Plastikman and Hawtin had on the scene during the past 17-years. But that's not it: The Arkives Analog box will get you a 6 pieces vinyl package including exclusive tracks, a limited edition poster and a deluxe box to keep it all tidy. The limited online-only Arkives Digital will be a combination of Analog and Reference and last but not least there will be an Arkives Collection that will give your mail men a serious back injury. That last package includes material from Reference and Analog which will be an astonishing package of 11 CD's, a DVD, a book and 6 12"s. Richie has promised this will be a strictly made-to-order box set. Orders are set to begin October 10th and will last to at least the end of the year.
