Groove Armada Retire As Live Outfit

Tom Findlay and Andy Cato of Groove Armada fame have announced they will retire as a live band. That makes their forthcoming UK tour a farewell affair then...

 

Groove Armada announced their retirement in a statement: "We've crossed and re-crossed the world with this band and crew. There's no other team like it. With their help, GA live became the sound of legendary nights from Mount Fuji to Moscow.

"It's not often in the spotlight maybe; but ask the people who have come and filled the tents and surrounded the stages for the last decade. A massive thanks to all of them, for staying with us on a journey from Richie Havens to Saint Saviour."

The 8-date tour across the UK will be the last tour of the outfit as a live band. Luckily though, Andy and Tom have announced they’ll continue DJ-ing and will come with some new production plans in 2011.
