NYE 2011 News!

Norman Jay and his Good Times Sound System love NYE so much, that they’re celebrating it twice. Yes, on Friday 31^st December there will be one Good Times at the Relentless Garage in North London and another at the Clapham Grand in South London…

Good on you, Sir Norman of Jay (actually OBE’s aren’t ‘Sir’ – BnB Pedantry Ed.), for putting on two parties so all your London fans can enjoy some Good Times  soul, funk and party house as they dance their way into 2011. That’s the attitude we like to see – putting clubbers first, on this the traditional big money-spinner in a DJ’s calender.

Checking out the North side runnings first, Norm will be backed up by the mighty Giles Peterson (Radio 1 / Brownswood) who plays the midnight slot, alongside female DJ crew the Ladybugz, the Crate Diggers Collective, Lee Davensac (aka Saturday Kid) and David Shepard (aka DJ Shep). Nope, we’ve never heard of the last few either…

Then over in South London, Norm and Gilles keep tag-teaming it, alongside fellow London DJ hero Terry Farley (Boy’s Own / Faith Fanzine), plus Norm’s brother Rudy Ranks. And the Loud Minority boys host the bar. Hmmm, sounds like the South has it to us… but still, grab tickets to either rave while you can!
