Go Back To The Acid House Era With WeekenderWritten by Manu Ekanayake Thursday, 21 July 2011 20:22 News -Weekender is a brand new film about the Acid House era, so you know we had to take a look...
BnB loves a good clubbing film… but in all honesty the good ones are in short supply. However this new film looks promising – out on Friday 2nd September, Weekender is set in 1990 and shows two young chancers, Matt (Henry Lloyd-Hughes) and Dylan (Jack O’Connell aka Cook from Skins) who start out putting on parties and soon end up in a world of gangsters, gear, girls and everything else that the early rave scene grew to epitomise. And on Monday 29th August, Harmless release a special soundtrack to Weekender, which is compiled by none other than UK acid house hero Terry Farley. Spanning three CDs, the first features key tracks from the film, the second more inspirational tunes from the era and the last is a final Weekender mix from Farley himself, whose DJ career took off in this era.
