Gilles Peterson Mixes Havana CulturaWritten by the B&B Crew Thursday, 20 May 2010 19:00 The musically omniscient radio DJ, label boss and artist pur sang Gilles Peterson has been mixing a CD for rum brand Havana for their ongoing Havana Cultura initiative. The CD consists out of 2 discs from which the first one brings hail to Cuba's hottest and unknown creative talent. And if Cuban cocopop ain't hot enough for ya, Carl Cox, Michel Cleis and Louie Vega will definitely make you sweat. Gilles invited some of his favourite producers to rework the tracks of those Cuban musicians on disc 1. The second disc sees Mr. Peterson smoothly mixing these tunes together into a continous mix. The compilation will be released June 7th on Peterson's own label Bronswood Recordings.
