Get Your Hands On Hawtin's GearWritten by the B&B Crew Wednesday, 05 May 2010 10:45 NewsIf you always wanted to get your hands on some of the state-of-the-art equipment Mr. Hawtin uses in his live gigs, then this is your chance. NextAid is organizing an auction to bring in money for orphaned children and Richie is offering some of his cutting-edge gear. NextAid is a nonprofit organization which tries to harness the power of our beloved music to affect and change the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Africa. A noble cause, yes. Just as the last two year they will have their Bids Build Hope auction, starting May 7th in honour of the World Aids Orphans Day. As at previous auctions, the items reflect NextAid’s strong connection to the dance music community. This year Richie Hawtin is offering his Gear Package for sale to bring in money for the different projects NextAid is currently running in Africa. The heavily, but lovingly, used equipment may just help you to catch some of Hawtin genius, but of course it’s a great opportunity to get your hands on museum material! The package includes Rimowa Topas Cabin Trolley, 2 Native Instruments Audio 8 DJ Interfaces (make sure you get your hands on the back-up, we say), Native Instruments Maschine, 2 Xone 1D controllers, DJ headphones and much more. As said before, the auction starts May 7th at 8:00 AM EST. The auction closes May 31st at 11:00 PM EST. For more information and to bring out your bid surf to the Bidding For Good website. Good luck!
