Genotype Does The Ritual Dance

Drum & bass producer Genotype will release his new album Ritual Dance later this month on Exit Records.

Genotype, aka Justin Richardson has been working under an array of monikers over the past years. You might know him as Mastermind, Nino Brown or Just Jungle. Justin debuted back in 1997 on the legendary D&B imprint Renegade Hardware and has been releasing a string of records until he went on a 7-year break in 2003.

It took him until last month before he returned with his 12" Mystical Mentality/Real Deal and now he is about to release his debut album and first ever release on D:Bridge's Exit Recordings. Even though his long career in drum & bass the press release promises us it won't be a classic drum & bass sound, opting instead for organic drum sounds and "paying homage to his love for West Indian music." Well, that certainly sounds interesting...

Genotype's Ritual Dance will be released October 18th on Exit Records.
