Gatto Fritto, the DJ whose name means ‘fried cat', will release his eponymous debut on International Feel on Monday 18^th April. And yes, that’s the same label Harvey’s on…

The wonderfully-monikered Gatto Fritto (real name: Ben Williams) is all set to release his first album of Balearic disco sounds, which is certainly something to be grateful for. We are, after all, talking about the kind of infectious space disco that has gotten the attention of Uruguayan label International Feel, the same people whom a certain DJ Harvey has been working with under his new Locussolus guise.

But the infamous Mr Basset aside, anyone looking for a sample of Gatto Frito's skills should check out Disco Bloodbath on Saturday 13^th March at Passions (251 Amhurst Road N16 aka their infamous original venue). There he’ll join Disco Bloobath residnts Ben Pistor and Damon Martin to air some of his new album in the perfect dancefloor context. But get there early, this is one party that gets BUSY.
