F*>k Dance, Let's Art - Sounds From A New American Underground

imageNews -

The ridiculously cool !K7 imprint will release a very indie and very awesome compilation entitled F*>k Dance, Lets Art later this year, a "testament to some great music being made by mainly East Coast dreamers, schemers, indie refugees and bedroom avant gardists”. Sweet...

The compilation itself is actually composed by !K7 associates Cool in the Pool and is an attempt to capture a snapshot of what’s turning out to be an invigorating time for new music in the USA. The compilation captures a dreamy, leftfield lo-fi side of the musical spectrum and is said to be a homage to lo-fi dream pop/dance artists from the States.

The tracklist includes slo mo space funk by Washed Out, some psychedelic disco-folk from the Phenomenal Handclap Band (which we held in very high regard here at the BnB towers) and much more. Crystal Castles and Animal Collective are probably the two better known outfits on this album but even those two don’t stretch the subtitle of this album: Sounds From A New American Underground.

F*>k Dance Lets Art will be released September 27th on the !K7 imprint. Essential.
