Fabric’s 11th Birthday bash with Ricardo, Caspa & friends

After a hell of a year, it’s great to see fabric hosting another of their fearsome birthday weekenders. The fun starts on Friday 15^th October for FABRICLIVE and then Saturday's fabric session contines until Monday morning...

Now this a session you can really get stuck in to.  Check out Friday’s FABRICLIVE celebration: Room 1 presents Dub Police, headed by the mighty Caspa, who’s got some heavyweight back-up from the likes of N-Type vs Hatcha, Breakage, Emalkay and the wonderfully named Trolley Snatcher keeping it on a dubstep tip.

Meanwhile Room 2 flexes its genre-stretching muscles further with D&B don Andy C bumping up against UK funky pioneer Marcus Nasty, plus breaks masters Scratch Perverts and Ali B meeting Kasra and dancehall-housers Greenmoney on the bill too.

Plus the sickness just continues in Room 3, with the Blunted Robots crew presenting UK bass sounds from Brackles (whose younger brother and fellow producer Martin Kemp is along for the ride), Shortstuff, Rinse FM’s Scractcha DVA and UK funky guy Doc Daneeka too. MC Asbo hosts things up here.

Then it’s the ultimate fabric Saturday in effect. Things are a little less organised here in terms of who’s playing where, but we do know that festivities will start on Saturday and end in the early hours of Monday.  Room 1 should boast the delights of the masterful Ricardo Villalobos, alongside Âme (live) and their Innervisions boss, Dixon, DOP (live), NY houser Levon Vincent and Move D too. There’ll be techno aplenty from Tobi Neumann, Stacey Pullen and Ryan Crosson, plus deeper house-meets-soul from Trus’ Me and Floating Points.  And of course fabric residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis will lead the charge, alongside Damian Lazarus who launches his own fabric 54 compilation here too.

Room 2’s still TBC according to the Fabric site, but Room 3 is interestingly given over to ace London Sunday party Kubicle, longtime friends of the fabric crew, who’ve got their residents Clive Henry (ex- Peace Division), Shaun Reeves, Lee Foss, Antonio De Angelis and FB Julian in the house, along with Derren’s Disco aka Derren Smart - formerly of T Bar - rinsing out the disco & funk classics.
