imageNews -

Egyptrixx debut LP Bible Eyes will be released February 9th but is already expected to be on of the top releases of 2011. Egyptrixx’ Bible Eyes will be released on the UK label Night Slugs.

David Psutka, the name known to Egyptrixx' friends and relatives, is a classically trained pianist from Toronto. His debut LP Bible Eyes is described as “celestial club music; jeep music for a Saturn desert”. Tracks by Egyptrixx already received support from renowned DJs including Sinden, Mary Ann Hobbs and Drop The Lime, which only fuels the hype around his debut LP.

All of Egyptrixx tracks share a shifting balance between melodic and dissonant, rapturous and antisocial. His style blends elements of techno, house, dubstep and pop all in to a whole new form of music. Bible Eyes moves effortlessly from bloopy house to expiremental pop and down tempo broken beat. Expect a nice and varied trip!

Egyptrixx will be touring the world to perform a live interpretation of his original music. His set is build around Ableton, an APC 40 MIDI controller, Korg Kaoss Pad and a MicroKorg virtual analogue synthesizer/vocoder. This enables him to break down his tracks and remix them on the fly, offering a different set each and every time. This open set-up allows him to interpretate the audience and adjust his set according to the vibe. Check out the tour schedule below to see when he is around in  you area.
