Dr. Dre Is Seeing Stars.. And Soon We Are Too

Dr. Dre has revealed that he is planning to start working on a new album and no, it's not Detox. The album will be an all-instrumental concept cut about the solar system...

 

So, planets eh? We've come across many conceptual albums about stars and stuff over the past er... 40 years, but we didn't see this one coming. True, Dre did churn out a myriad of cuts that took us to space with the help of a certain psychotropical type of grass,but Dre's interest goes further: "I've been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet,"tells Dre. "I've been doing this for about two years now just in my spare time so to speak. I wanna do it in surround sound. It'll have to be in surround sound for Saturn to work."

Furthermore, The Doctor added that "An instrumental album is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I have the ideas for it. I want to call it 'The Planets'. I don't even know if I should be saying this, but fuck it. It's just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like."

A release date has not yet been revealed, but we're pretty sure it will see the light of day earlier than Detox. And we're sure it's a hell of a more interesting too.
