Dr Dre Falls Behind On His Bills

Hip-hop innovator Dr Dre is being sued for over $ 1million by Paramount Recording Studios for unpaid studio fees, according to CBS News.

 





You may notice that it’s been a while since his last album. Well, that's because Dre’s constantly working around the clock as a producer. His long-awaited album Detox has been in the pipeline for 11 years, so it looks like Dre's the gangsta version of Guns 'n Roses (remember the Chinese Democracy debacle?) Rumour has it that the album will hit the streets sometime this year, but we wouldn't be surprised if it stays in the vault for another x years.

Anyway, the Dr has more pressing concerns to deal with. CBS reports that Dre and his label Aftermath allegedly rented studio space at Paramount from April 2009 to June 2010, but never coughed up the benjamins. Allhip-hop.com says that the good Dr’s been happily using the studio for a decade and so he offered to pay off his debts by mid-July. Unfortunately, that’s come and gone - but it is most unlikely that they’ll just ‘Forget About Dre’, with a lawsuit worth $1,220,500...
