Well well well, what do we have here? A free download of Aphex Twin's previously unknown Joyrex Tape album from 1994? Interesting...

A few days ago we heard rumours about this album having surfaced on the net, but the story behind it is rather bizarre (and therefore unconfirmed). According to the info sheet, one of Aphex' friends stole the DAT-tape at a party (when AFX was passed out on the couch) to impress his girlfriend, but the tape was soon left behind only to resurface a couple of years later. Out of respect to its creator, the download doesn't contain the full tracks but mere 1:30 min. lo-fi snippets.

Sounds like a clever PR-story to us, but we're not complaining. Download the album here.
