dOP Do Watergate

Parisian electric polkatechno nutcases dOP have been mixing the 6th edition in the acclaimed Watergate series. The result, which is undoubtedly another hilarious take on electronic music, will be released on June 7th.

dOP's vision on house and techno is unorthodox, to say the leats. The three little fellas have grown out to become one of the most sensational live-acts over the past few years, delivering a mad mad mad party vibe fueled by Balkan beats, bits of minimal techno, and shitloads of wodka. The CD is said to sound like a live jam, a party, to which the threesome have all their musical friends. dOP themselves: This mix should show how we make music, both alone and with friends or people that inspire us. Watergate gave us the opportunity to create our first mix CD, so we wanted to make it something special. We invited artists that we’re friends with to come work on songs with us, and we then used those songs for the mix.” The result is a 13-track compilation, of which 12 tunes are from dOP and have not yet been released. Collabs include material ft. those other French Balkan bumpers Nôze, Mathias Kaden, Catz & Dogz and Seuil. Should be a massive one.
