Doc Martin Gets Ready To Jack

imageDeep house don!

One of the finest house DJs in the business, Doc Martin, is coming to Shoreditch’s East Village on Saturday 20th November.  Deep, tribal, soulful, jacking, even occasionally funky, if it’s house, he’ll play it. And he’ll do it better than anyone else – even other DJs come out for the Doc.

Jack is East Village’s monthly bash in association with Elite DJ Management, which brings the crème of the house scene (both UK and US) to the Shoreditch club, so we can enjoy their tunes in a nice intimate club, on a bloody amazing soundsystem. So far, so good, right?

Jack's headliner Doc Martin has never been a superstar DJ, he’s just kept playing rock-solid house sets all over the world. He’s a stalwart of the West Coast scene in his native America (his Sublevel bashes in LA are nuts) but he's also had residencies at infamous NYC clubs like Twilo and Tunnel. And he’s never jumped on a bandwagon, despite the many temptations to do so.

Assisting the Doc in the basement is Luke Solomon, who ran Classic with Derrick Carter and helmed the seminal 90s mid-weeker Space with Kenny Hawkes. Since then he’s released music on Rekids and helped none other than Damian Lazarus with his artist album, so he’s hardly been resting on his laurels.  Plus East Village main man Stu Patterson adds his inmitable skills to the house mix downstairs. Upstairs, it’s a disco-funk-soul-reggae mix from the 7-inch-only SDM crew… just what the Doc ordered! (Sorry…)
