Diskjokke To Release New Album

Norwegian disco label Smalltown Supersound have announced the release of Diskjokke’s new album Sagara, hitting stores this June…

There’s a pretty cool story behind this album’s conception: In 2009, Norway's Øye Festival sent Diskjokke on a trip across the globe, all expenses paid, to work with whomever he liked. Eventually Diskjokke spent two weeks on the isle of Java to work with local musicians and made numerous field recordings. Judging by lovely album track Panutup (stream below), the album has become a much more diverse dish as compared to his usual cosmic disco outings. June 14th, watch that date.
