Disco Bloodbath Meets Fabric

imageDisco News -

London disco specialists Disco Bloodbath return to fabric on Saturday 22nd January. They host Room 3 with guests I:Cube and Mark E, while the rest of the club rocks with Lee Burridge, Sweet Candy (live), Luciano Esse, Paul Ritch and Alan Fitzpatrick.

This will actually be Disco Bloodbath’s second time hosting Room 3, but this time it’s on a Saturday night; traditionally a more house & techno-based affair. But Damon Martin (pictured left with with Disco Bloodbath partner Ben Pistor) doesn’t think that’s going to be a problem.

‘I think our approach will be similar to when we played here on Fridays,’ Damon explains, ‘although I guess the Saturday crowd may allow us to play a bit deeper. Fundamentally, though, it will still be our usual mixture of sounds - basically whatever we feel like playing at the time!'

And Damon reckons fans of Disco Bloodbath’s diverse mix of mutant pop, acid house, bitch trax and synth-led debauchery will enjoy the sounds of I:Cube, as well as those of slo-mo king (and old Bloodbath favourite) Mark E.

‘I can see why I:Cube might seem a bit of a departure from our usual guests, but if you look at the different work he's done over the years, and the stuff he plays when he DJs, he's quite diverse. A lot of his music contains influences from a lot of the music that we play: disco, house (obviously), psychedelia and synth stuff in particular.'

Damon sums up their choice of guest - and Disco Bloodbath's whole DJ philosophy, into the bargain - by saying, 'Besides, we're not purists. If we like a track, we play it and if we like an artist or a DJ, we book them.’ Nicely put sir, see you down the front!
