News -
DFA will release a unique selection of tracks by Peter Gordon, founder of the Love Of Life Orchestra on October 12th. All you disco heads out there, do you copy?
Peter Gordon rose to prominence as a saxophonist in New York's late 70s avant-garde scene and has been active in several fields of the music industry ever since with a wide variety of projects. His Love Of Life Orchestra, which he founded with multi-instrumentalist David van Tieghem, saw him taking on a disco-styled sound with contributions from Talking Heads totem David Byrne and amongst others. Apart from the fact that the band's sound matches that of DFA's, opening track Beginning of the Heartbreak / Don't Don't was featured on James Murphy's Fabric 36 mix as its intro and outro tune.
Peter Gordon - Love of Life Orchestra will be out October 12th on DFA.
