Simian Mobile Disco have announced a new compilation CD entitled Simian Mobile Disco Is Fixed. The CD follows after their confirmed residency at FIXED, NY. And to celebrate, the boys give away a free download of one of their tracks.
Simian Mobile Disco’s residency at the NY venue started off earlier this year but the two have been familiar with the Fixed crew for a bit longer. In celebration of their residency, the outfit have whipped up a new mix CD, fittingly entitled Simian Mobile Disco Is Fixed.
“The mix we have done for Fixed is based on how we hope our residency with them in New York will pan out,†says SMD’s Jas. “Fixed has always been a forum for the deeper and odder end of disco and techno, but without forgetting that it's still a party. We mixed this live in our studio, allowing us to throw some extra effects in there and also a bit of the 808 from time to time.â€
The compilation includes tracks by Bam Bam, DJ Hell, Paul Woolford, Hot Chip and of course Simian Mobile Disco themselves. Simian Mobile Disco is Fixed will be released October 12th on Defend Music.
