Deadmau5 To Tour North-America

Canadian Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 will embark on a tour across North America the second half of this year. Starting August 5th at Lollapalooza, he will embark on a trip across the continent to finish it all November 5th in Toronto.

 

Not only does the Canadian superstar has a completely new live production scheduled for the second half of this year, he will release a special remix package of Raise Your Weapon too plus a new live DVD, an iPhone/iPod app and a “Design the next Deadmau5 head” competition.

The DVD will be released prior to the start of the tour and is scheduled for July 5th. It captures Joel’s live show at the London Earls Court, with which he became the first electronic artist to sell-out the 19.000 capacity venue. In support of the 2011 tour itself there will be a “Design the next Deadmau5” head competition, in which you can win some exclusive prices. Further details have not been announced yet.

The remix package of Raise Your Weapon will be available May 23rd on both iTunes and Beatport. The iTunes release will feature remixes by Noisia, Madeon and Stimming. If you buy it on Beatport you’ll all that, accompanied by the original track, an extended remix by Madeon and a dub version from the hands of Stimming. And since there is money to be made, the smart team behind the Canadian jock and producer are squeezing out an iPhone/iPod app on the same date as well. With it you will be able to remix Deadmau5 music and compete to win a custom Deadmau5 iPad.
