UK experimental techno producer Dave Monolith is set to drop his debut album Welcome on Rephlex this February. Judging by the previews, it will be worth the wait...





Whereas most artist usually release a slew of EPs before putting out an entire album, Welcome is Dave's second ever release following the 2009 EP Volume 1. His sound is best described as a flowing mix between warm Detroit-techno, electro, and IDM, which thus far has earned him a solid reputation among underground afficionados. What also distinguishes Dave from fellow producers is his way of working in the studio. "I only make individual tracks in different styles so ultimately the record had to be compiled into a coherent selection of music,"says Dave. "I think this has been done successfully by Rephlex." Dave Monolith's Welcome will be released February 6th, 2012 on Rephlex.
