Darkstar To Release Debut Album On Hyperdub

Darkstar, one of the coolest UK outfits of this year, are about to release their debut album North. It will be released on October 18th on Hyperdub (UK) and October 19th in the UK and US.

Darkstar now consists of three people after adding vocalist James Buttery to the mix. “It's part of the grain, interwoven with the synths, distortion and all the other things we like fucking with,"says Darkstar founder James young. "Synthetic and effected vocals just sound better on our tracks I think."

The album includes mostly new material and their already released single Aidy’s Girl Is A Computer, which is featured on Timo Maas' Balance 017 mix that's about to hit stores. Furthermore the album features a rework of Squeeze My Lime which -oddly- is now entitled When It’s Gone. The first single of the album will be Gold which will be accompanied by a video. One to watch, we say.
