Jozif Goodwin and Craig Richards have worked together on a new limited edition project: Fist or Finger. The EP features the original track by Jozif Goodwin and a ambient reinterpretation by Craig Richards.

This first edition in the Fist or Finger series features a track by Jozif Goodwin. Entitled Beats in Space it features “a future funk orientated sound with a heavy ass, bass drive slice of sinister analogue space funk, complete with dark, ominous stabs and enchanting tripped out breakdown, creaking door and beats fit for a king”. At least that’s what the press release tells us about it. Sounds pretty damn tasty if you ask us.

On the B-side, Craig Richards takes the record in to a completely other direction. The musical director of Fabric takes the record apart and slows it down to create an ambient atmosphere. Craig’s version includes some spoken word samples and you can hear him play piano himself.

Fist or Finger Vol. 1 will be released October 4th as a limited edition, with only 300 copies going on sale. The release will only be available on vinyl so you better dust off your Technics SL1200’s.  The next edition in this series will be released later this year, with a limited circulation once again.
