Control Traktor 2 With This Amazing Touchscreen Interface

The Toronto based SmithsonMartin Inc. have prepped the very first multi-touch DJ software and is ready to ship it across the world. Their flagship product, the Emulator, has hit version 1.5 and now fully supports Traktor 2 DJ software.

 

 

The Emulator gives DJ's their decks, loop records and other effects literally at their fingertips. “Emulator gives the DJ all the functionality of Traktor 2 with a full multi-touch experience.” says Pablo Martin, company co-founder and CTO.  “We tried to make Emulator more intuitive and easy to use so DJ’s can begin playing on a touch screen interface immediately.  Whether they use a tablet PC, touch screen monitor or our holographic looking transparent touch surface, the DJ is now in total control”

You might know the Emulator from the YouTube video that surfaced last year of the large transparent controller, but you can actually use the software on any touch screen controller you want. "We have customers using tablet PC’s, touch screen monitors and some are experimenting with large-format projection systems.  The possibilities are endless.” says company co-founder and CEO, Alan Smithson.

The Emulator offers interesting opportunites and could innovate the way DJs are performing.
