The Chemical Brothers have been working on a Dolby 7.1 live concert film composed of footage from their recent gig at Japan's Fuji Rock Festival. The result, titled Don't Think, will air around the world as of next January.
Although they're not quite the first to release a concert film, The Chemical Bro's flick promises to be spectacular. Director Adam Smith, with whom CB have been working for years, has been shooting from 20 different perspectives, with Smith himself dubbing it as "avant-garde". "I wanted to capture what it is like to experience the show from right in the middle of the crowd as well as showing and combining the visuals featured in the show with the footage we captured on this one night," Ssays Smith, "to see how the music and visuals emotionally affect and connect with the audience."
The film will first screen on January 20th in 20 cinemas across the globe, with more screenings being scheduled after February 6th. You can check out the full screening roster at the movie's official website.
