Casey Spooner Goes SoloWritten by the B&B Crew Sunday, 16 January 2011 14:31 News - The first album track, Spanish Teenager (featuring Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears on vocals), came out earlier this week with additional remixes by Derrick Carter and Acid Washed. We're not too sure what to think of that track (watch it below) but it still beats Fischerspooner's dodgy electropop output of recent years. The album is said to have become a very personal affair: "I was working in a very unselfconscious manner, as the sound and style were Jeff's initial direction. (It) is the most emotional work I may have ever made." Next to that, the story behind the production of the album is a remarkable one. Spooner was supposed to contribute just one song to a project by Jeff Saltzman, the producer of Fischerspooner's 2009 album, but instead ended up with so much material that Saltzman decided to use all the recordings for Spooner's album.
